There’s a really great narrated photo story on Woodstock, shot by photographer Bill Eppridge, featured on the New York Times Lens Blog as part of the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.
I’ve been enjoying all the coverage of the event this past week on NPR as I was rather unfamiliar with its circumstances, and these photos go even further in showing what an extraordinary moment it was. I really loved the subtle color palette of the photographs, and remarked at how contemporary the images feel compared to todays current style. It almost felt as if I was looking at coverage of something that just happened.
