Max Ritt posted Veronika Kalacheva‘s watercolor illustrations a while back and I had been meaning to post them. Watercolor illustrations have never been my favorite medium, but Max described her work in the exact way that I felt about it when I saw it. He said “…Every once in a while though, you stumble across some one’s work that revitalizes the medium and adds so much color and life into it that you can’t help, but love it again…” Well put Max.
Good work transcends language, and lucky for me Veronika’s work is amazing because I don’t speak Russian. Her Behance page and descriptions are all written in Russian, making it hard to figure out what the story is on some of the work. It looks like at least a few of these are for a children’s book of some sort though.
