The Mast Brothers
The Scout has been doing a series of videos on craftsmanship and their newest is titled The Mast Brothers. The brothers are a couple of artisan chocolate makers in Brooklyn, New York. The video is a beauty and of course the chocolate and labels they produce for the bars are tasty looking.
I’m happy to see folks like the Mast Brothers getting recognition for their hard work. The return to an attention to craft is a beautiful movement that I’m happy to get behind.

Not only are these clowns bastardizing the notion of a return to craft for craft’s sake, but, more importantly, their chocolate isn’t very good. There are plenty of interesting folks in Brooklyn doing interesting (and tasty) things. These narcissistic clownholes aren’t amongst them.

Great film and creative chocolate makers. They seem dedicated to the artisan chocolate craft. I would love to visit their shop one day. Seem like it has a realist old world feel about it.
Of course, there are many interesting people in Brooklyn, but this is a film about “The Mast Brothers”. They seem like interesting men who have found what makes them happy.

They sell their chocolate bars at Stumptown in the Ace Hotel. I adore the packaging…so much so that I don’t think I ever ate the chocolate because I didn’t want to mess up the wrapper.

My husband and I just found out about them when they were featured on The Cooking Channel! Interesting guys!
