Joachim Schmid used Google Maps satellite imagery to produce his book O Campo, a collection of aerial images of Brazilian soccer fields. The use of Google Maps is a novel idea, and from what I gather is part of a larger theme in Joachim’s work. He mentions on his site that he rarely takes photographs himself, but rather uses “discarded” and public images. More images after the jump.
