North By Northwest

It always surprises me when someone says that they haven’t seen Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest and subsequently have missed out on the title sequence. By comparison to many in the present day, its not the most fascinating piece of work, but at its inception it was a pretty groundbreaking title sequence. It laid the groundwork for what moving titles that are now commonplace in most movies. Thank you Saul Bass.

    I watched this last night on TV. I had never seen it before. I was really impressed by the opening titles as well as the cinematography in general :)
