I wish I could tell you that I knew everything there is to know about this thing. I wish I could tell you that, but the internet is no fairy-tale world. Sadly the website with details about this are in either Japanese or Chinese, neither of which I know how to read. I just know that its a hybrid power outlet design that allows you to plug in multiple devices in to one plug with ease. It looks beautiful, but as one commenter posted, hopefully comes with a hacksaw to lob off any grounded third prongs.
