As a corollary to many of her larger installations and exhibits, Marcel Duchamp Prize winner Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster’s ‘Tapiz de lecture’ are carpets lined with reading material she believes can add to the viewers’ experience of her art. The spaces are meant to be a respite from the stimulation of the gallery and allow visitors to connect in personal and private ways with the art exhibited. The larger Public School family is constantly reading and being invigorated and inspired by both our individual interactions with literature and by our discussions of the texts. We hope you are, too.
