I’m in the process of reading Kurt Vonnegut’s novels in chronological order, and Carin Goldberg’s work on these is amazing. I know this is old news, but with each new book I appreciate the design even more. I remember being drawn to these at bookstores before I was familiar with Vonnegut or design. Each book works well on its own, but they come together in a way that, to me at least, strongly represents his work. They also look amazing next to one another on a shelf. If you’re not familiar with Carin Goldberg’s work, get familiar.

One of the most recognizable designs on bookshelves today. A testament to creativity, simplicity, and functionality. Simply classic work.
