PUBLIC SCHOOL is a group of creative folk working on the east side of Austin together, yet not together. The same studio, different professions. Similar tastes, varying favorite Bob Dylan song. Consistently unified love for the Mexican food on the east side of town.
Our collective and individual clients include Chronicle Books, Conde Nast, Sweet Leaf Tea, Iron and Wine, Baylor University, Ogilvy & Mather, LIVESTRONG, Pearson Publishing, Stussy, Time Inc., NIKE, The University of Texas, The Sunday Times of London, as well as a few other folks.
Here are a few pics from last night’s Bows + Arrows art show. A free drink on me to the first person who can explain why the illustrator of the studio (Will B) had to take the photos when there are 5 photographers in Public School.

Because we’re not event photographers. I can honestly say I don’t own a speed light Gary Fong Dome. I’m pretty sure no one else here does. Plus we’re ok with Will shooting the photos since he has that snazzy polaroid iPhone app.
I know why will took them – bc I showed him the amazing new photo app that makes you look like a much better photographer than you are – nice shots will

Oh, I see. That makes sense. For a while I thought it was because you guys don’t care about Public School and event photography is beneath you.
Event photography isn’t beneath me, but it is true, I don’t care about Public School.
