Across the Tracks!

Jay B and I are new roommates, and a few days ago he recommended a real peach of a film. If you’re bored this week, or looking to catch up on some early 90′s film, look no further than Across The Tracks. The story is based around two brothers—Billy, a trouble teen (Ricky Schroder), and Joe, a wholesome achiever (Brad Pitt), who erase their different pasts and bond together over the hardships and joys of the track and field world. Billy is forced to attend a school “across the tracks” after returning from serving time for stealing a car. Things are rough at first between the brothers, and Billy struggles to adapt to a life without crime, but soon they’re running together, and becoming….Friends, Rivals… Brothers.

If you have 100 minutes to waste, and I mean waste, stream this from Netflix. But don’t just take my word for it. Take Jay B’s.

Notes: 1. Brad Pitt’s character falls apart quicker than any character I’ve ever seen in a movie. He goes from the most wholesome kid on earth to a drunk and back in one day’s time. It is INTENSE. 2. Stiffler’s dad might actually be in this movie. Jay B and I are almost sure that Billy’s partner in crime is Sean William Scott’s biological father.

CORRECTION: I did not suggest this film. Cody apparently has fond childhood memories of this flick. It was intensely awful.
