Not sure how I missed this, but I’m really into these environmental graphics for the Achievement First Endeavor Middle School, created by Pentagram partner Paula Scher & co. The bold, typographic statements were inspired by slogans used by teachers at the school, and as enlarged graphics, really give life to the space and help define areas well. The patterns and color placement were decided by applying colors to a scale model of the school. This is, to me, a great example of a simple, cost effective graphic overhaul of a large space. Proof that paint and planning can go a long way.
