Over it.

14.2 miles of string outlining 25 letters on 2,500 eyelets strung by hand by 18 artists, designers, fashion designers, copywriters, and art directors from Portland. This 18 person art show comprised of the familiar faces of Jelly Studio, Kate Bingaman-Burt, Justin Scrappers and Aaron Rayburn provides an amazing look into the collaborative process.

“18 humans created something that one person couldn’t. 18 busy people, that didn’t have time to spare, spared, made, fretted, and showed up. That’s enough, actually, everything else is bonus.” - Aaron Rayburn

Ryan Berkley Activity Book

A couple months back we all gathered around Cody’s computer when he first found Ryan Berkley’s animal illustrations. Luckily, we had the pleasure of meeting him this weekend at the Renegade Craft Fair. We gave him one of our hand stamped Scout Books which he then turned in to an activity book, featuring old men, for us to complete. We had a blast working on it. Check out the final product after the jump.

Also, thanks to Ryan and Lucy for stopping by the studio yesterday before heading out of town. Happy trails!

Obsessive Consumption

My former professor, constant mentor, and friend Kate Bingaman-Burt has a new book about her work! KBB is an infectious maker, contagious spirit, and unbelievable teacher. Her book, Obsessive Consumption: What Did you Buy Today?, showcases 3 years of her ink drawings of her sundry purchases. It’s published by Princeton Architectural Press and not only is it the perfect size, it also smells really good.

You can order a copy from Kate and receive and original drawing!
