Backpocket Creative: Movie Parts

mightyDucks

All the really memorable movies have items and tchotchkes that make them what they are. They’re the things you’d need if you were to try to make a good Halloween costume. Backpocket Creative’s Movie Parts posters are about just those things.

I was a big fan of Gordon Bombay, the first  real “Winner” in the Sheen family, so the Mighty Ducks poster is my favorite. But after the jump are also Top Gun, Back to the Future and Juno.

Alex Eylar – Cinema and Legos

Psycho - Alex Eylar

Alex Eylar‘s work with Legos is mindblowing. I’m especially in love with his cinematic recreations. Click through to see how many movies from the past and present you can recognize. Hover over the images to see the answer.

Is This Thing On?

jeffboyes_cheveychase

I’m seriously heartbroken that this Chevy Chase poster is sold out. It is part of a group show titled, Is This Thing On?. It is all comedian inspired artwork and I’m in love with several of them. More after the jump.

Civil Star Wars

Darth Vader

Greg Peltz saw some old Civil War photos and was inspired to do this portrait of Darth Vader. Round these parts, we’re big fans of Star Wars so when I found these I was pretty psyched. He has also done a few beautiful Victorian style portraits of a few other characters after the jump.

Movie Quotes Made Cute

Darth Vader

I’m not sure if his intention was to make them cute, but if so Goran is successful. His series of cutified movie quotes made me laugh and deserved sharing. I just have difficulty picturing any of these little cartoon characters in their real roles.
