I was already planning on featuring Jon Ashcroft‘s work this week when he happened to reach out about coming to Austin. Turns out he has some new work that he hasn’t posted on his site yet. This first piece for an Autism Awareness campaign is amazing. Check out his awesome Keep Rambling design after the jump as well.
Laura Bifano’s illustrations of animals as 8-bit characters are an interesting take on digital renderings. She says they “[reconcile her] fascination with the natural world and computer game aesthetics”. There are 8 posted on her website thus far, but she has two more left to be posted still. You can buy prints on her Etsy shop.
Kevin Reid of Dallas, Texas is talented as all get out. These posters he designed featuring the illustrations of Judy Unger, for Central Market are all kinds of pretty. I’ve enjoyed the recent return to more illustration based advertising that we’ve seen, and this is a perfect example.
BYGGSTUDIO! is a Swedish design group comprised of Hanna Nilsson and Sofia Østerhus. They have a hefty amount of awards and an even heftier amount of good work. The story of a mug is easily my favorite, but everything else is just as great.
Paulo Arraian‘s work is speaking to me. I can’t get enough of his style, it’s stunning in its boldness and complexity. I originally saw the pieces he did for Nike on ffffound and after further inspection I realized that Paulo was no one hit wonder. His entire body of work is on par with or better than his pieces for Nike. Much more to see after the jump…
