Backpocket Creative: Movie Parts

mightyDucks

All the really memorable movies have items and tchotchkes that make them what they are. They’re the things you’d need if you were to try to make a good Halloween costume. Backpocket Creative’s Movie Parts posters are about just those things.

I was a big fan of Gordon Bombay, the first  real “Winner” in the Sheen family, so the Mighty Ducks poster is my favorite. But after the jump are also Top Gun, Back to the Future and Juno.

Susan Worsham

To continue with my theme of “posting folks that should have been posted months ago…” I present to you, Susan Worsham. Susan is a large format photographer with a few steady projects under her belt.  Worsham’s work, for the most part, falls under a uniformed theme but varies just enough to keep you glued to the work. I have had the pleasure of being featured alongside Worsham and after taking another look at her photos, I am completely humbled.

The Last Of The Kodachrome

I’ll avoid the obligatory Paul Simon reference and tell you to head over to Steve McCurry’s blog to see a few frames from the last roll of Kodachrome that will (likely) ever be developed was ever produced (correction Thanks Chris!). When Kodak stopped producing it, they gave the last roll to him. He shot some beautiful photographs with it, had Dwayne’s Photo in Kansas develop it, and has now posted selections for your enjoyment. It is a beautiful end to a beautiful era.

Thanks for the heads up Michael.

Robin Friend

2-1

I’m in love with Robin Friend’s photography. I tend to like anyone who puts in the time and effort to shoot large format, but this stuff is just amazing.

Back To The Future 2 Concept Art

This is what I live for. The Back To The Future series is probably my all-time favorite from childhood. Pocket Lint somehow found these original concept art sketches for the film that are currently blowing my mind.
