This weekend I watched the BBC documentary Hiroshima that is part historical footage, part dramatization of the days leading up to the dropping of the first and only nuclear bombs used during wartime. It is a fascinating story about a world changing chain of events. Triggerpit has an oddly beautiful set of photographs of nuclear bomb tests taking place that give some scale as to how world changing these bombs really are.
