Really loving this work by Stockholm-based creative Carl Kleiner. Multidisciplinary in approach, and diverse in style, he utilizes a unique use of mostly common materials to create visually dynamic pieces, often with very interesting concepts. More after the jump.

Helmut Smits is the kind of artist that you love to hate for having all the ideas you wished you had had. I spent a good while on his site yesterday digging around and can assure you its full of gold. I pulled a few selections for your enjoyment here, including the above titled Without Cabinet. I’m not sure if his intention was to make them cute, but if so Goran is successful. His series of cutified movie quotes made me laugh and deserved sharing. I just have difficulty picturing any of these little cartoon characters in their real roles.

Kinetic Sculpture is a moving installation analyzing the process of form finding that designers use in art and design. It is made up of 714 steel spheres that are attaches to steel wire and are lowered and raised mechanically forming shapes and curves in the process. It’s beautiful. Check out the video and more images after the jump.

I was sorry to read that Souther Salazar hurt his back, but selfishly glad to see that he put together a time lapse video while stuck in bed. His sculptural installation called Alejandro and the Idea Machine, was exhibited last month at the Fumetto Comix Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland. I love his dense, colorful, imaginative, collages, paintings, drawings and sculptures, and I’m hopeful that his latest zine will be available once again in his etsy shop. Video and photos after the jump.
