Check out this rad work from one of Mississippi’s finest, Tim Cook. I went to undergrad with this funny dude and he’s produced a solid portfolio in very little time!

Matt W Moore at YES

MWM_XYZ_Canvas_11x11_1

Soooo this is incredible….

An ambitious creative spirit, Matt W. Moore has traveled to Cincinnati for an April residency to prepare from scratch for his first Ohio Exhibition. He arrived with no art, no supplies, and no firm plan for this new series of canvas paintings. The paintings were created entirely with spray paint, one of Matt’s favorite mediums. The designs are very clean and appear almost digital in their precise details and craft.

Also, if you’re unfamiliar with YES, it’s an amazing new gallery run by the charming Andrew Neyer. In addition to putting on amazing gallery shows, they just recently launched a brand new (hilarious) summer clothing line.

Mike Perry: New Work

MP Scultpure

The remarkably influential maker Mike Perry has lots of new things coming down the pipeline. Above is a new sculpture made from cedar shingles  for an upcoming exhibition in Australia.

Just last week I received my copy of his latest book, Pulled: A Catalogue of Screen Printing, which showcases work from some of my favorite artists. After the jump you can take a peek inside the book as well as an animation for Kate Spade!

Paulo Arraian

Paulo Arraian‘s work is speaking to me.  I can’t get enough of his style, it’s stunning in its boldness and complexity. I originally saw the pieces he did for Nike on ffffound and after further inspection I realized that Paulo was no one hit wonder.  His entire body of work is on par with or better than his pieces for Nike.  Much more to see after the jump…
