Chris Perez of Apartment Therapy recently came by the studio to do a tech tour of our space and shoot some of the equipment we use. It’s a nice little feature, and we’re really excited to be included on what we all consider a great site. Check it out here.
Free beer! You love that right? Well thanks to our friends Chuck & Jake, you can have some tomorrow after work from 6-8 at our studio (RSVP here). They’re releasing some new clothes in their winter line, so wanted to show em’ off and meet new folks. Come on by to meet them, check out some of their clothes, and to tell Cody he needs to clean up his beard.
Finding out about Facebook purchasing Gowalla made for some good news over the weekend. We’ve got a few friends and have been lucky enough to work with Gowalla a few times over the years, so are really proud to hear that Facebook values them us much as we do. They’ve always been a great company whose focus on design has gone a long way over here at our office. I’m sure that focus will make a big impact with Facebook. Congrats guys!
Neighborhood Studio, aka the talented Mr. Curtis Jinkins, has a new fancy website up and running. Of course it’s chock full of work so good it’ll make you wanna slap a co-worker. I’m particularly fond of his playing card collaboration with the Theory 11 for U.S. Playing Card Company. The beautiful box itself is reason enough to buy a deck.
Our very own Jay B Sauceda was asked recently by the curatorial board of Pecha Kucha to speak about his work for the next Pecha Kucha Night. It’ll be taking place next Thursday, November 17th, at 916 Springdale, which is the old Goodwill Warehouse on the east side. It starts at 8:20, but as usual it’ll be a packed out so get there early. Other presenters include Bale Creek Allen, Will Hornaday, Robert Craft, Andrew Yates, and Mike Wolf.
